After recording "LRP" I actually grew quite excited about writing songs again and the notion that I could now record and release when I wrote a song instead of the dread I usually felt knowing it would be upwards of a year to wait, and thousands of dollars to record an album with a band. I really had nothing else in life after work to do but write songs. It kept me going when a customer put me in my place during the daytime hours, and with the number of people coming out to my shows getting smaller because I wouldn't scream at them in my cookie monster voice anymore I really plunged into just writing.
